Integral customized cooling and humidification equipment.
Porinox has designed and manufactured the cooling and humidification system for the mother pig farm in the province of Teruel. This is a vital facility, since it is located in the south of Aragon, one of the driest and hottest areas of Spain.
We offer integral cooling modules with a wide variety of standard sizes, both in width, height and depth, combinable with each other, giving rise to endless dimensional options to fit your windows. However, if the openings of the building to be cooled have special dimensions, as has been the case, and the customer wishes, we also design the modules to measure for a perfect fit.
The cooling system with integral humidifiers has been chosen in order to be able to regulate temperature and humidity individually in each house. This allows the humidity and temperature levels to be adjusted according to the needs of the piglets and dams in each house and phase.
The cooling and humidification equipment, made of AISI 304 stainless steel installed in this project, are of different sizes and are subdivided and distributed according to the maternity phases as follows:
1ST WEANING SHED
- 10 7.2x2x0.4 m integral modules
- 1 module of 4.8x2x0.4 m
2ND GESTATION BAY
- 44 modules of 2.4×1.5×0.4 m
- 6 modules of 1.8×1.5×0.4 m
- 44 modules of 3.6×1.5×0.4 m
3RD MATERNITY BAY
- 8 6.6x2x0.4 m integral modules
In this project for the cooling of a mother farm, the customer opted for the 15 cm thick cellulose panel model to increase the cooling power. This decision resulted in higher performance of the integral cooling and humidification equipment with lower consumption.

Porinox's engineering department has worked together and in collaboration with the Prodes team to adjust and adapt the coolings to the needs and technical requirements of the cooling project of a mother farm.
