Cooling

Why refrigerate a pig farm?

Cooling in a livestock facility is essential, especially in summer, when temperatures rise significantly outside and cause a rise in the thermostat inside the farm. Animals that are subjected for a long period of time to high temperatures can suffer stress, causing the animal to stop eating properly, which means a drop in the productivity of livestock and consequently numerous economic losses.

How does refrigeration work?

Porinox offers an evaporative cooling method. A cooler is installed on a windowed wall of the building. This cooler is equipped with a hydraulic installation, which circulates water through evaporative panels, so that the air entering the building is more humid, causing a decrease in the interior temperature.

The coolers are made of 304 stainless steel, which guarantees good mechanical properties and its components are welded to prevent water leaks.

They are equipped with the entire hydraulic circuit installed, which consists of several flow regulation valves to adjust the intensity to the desired temperature. Also included is the pump and the evaporative panel that can be chosen from three options of its composition: cellulose, plastic or mixed. Here are the advantages of each:

Cellulose Mixed Plastic
High mechanical resistance Easy to clean with pressurized water Extends service life
Easy to install Protection against UV rays Increases the darkness factor
Easy to clean Easy to clean Easy to clean with pressurized water

More economical Resistant to fungi
  Resistant against algae

Porinox also offers a wide variety of coolers, each with its own characteristics that adapt to each farm and satisfy each customer.
